Should Christians Date

As Christian dating is now on the rise, many people come to wonder if this is the type of activity that Christians should partake in. Even many of the Christian singles begin to question themselves about this. Out of all the opinions that have made their way to the forefront in terms of Christian dating, there has yet to be a general consensus about whether or not Christian dating is something that should be carried out. One of the opinions that has been expressed in regards to Christian dating is that Christian singles should not be dating. Some people feel that Christian singles are not to initiating dating. The feeling is that when God decides that it is time for Christian singles to connect with that special person, He will make this happen. They feel that Christian singles should not place themselves out on the dating market themselves. They believe that it is not the Christian way to put themselves in the midst of such an atmosphere, and that Christian singles should patiently wait until their soul mate enters their lives.

Many Christian singles tend to be in limbo about what they should do, if anything at all, in order to find the person that they were meant to spend the rest of their lives with. Many Christian singles live on the philosophy that you are to: “Do your best, and God will do the rest.” With that, many of those Christian singles tend to take on the belief that they should partake in Christian dating. They feel that when it comes to Christian dating, in order to achieve their ultimate goal and find the one that they were meant to be with, they can not sit at home waiting for that person to fly down from the sky. But instead they believe that they have to pursue different modes of Christian dating, all while staying true to the principles of the Christian faith.

Some Christian singles believe that Christian dating is an act that they shall not partake in. Some Christian singles have come to this conclusion about Christian dating without anyone else telling them that this is wrong. They feel that Christian dating sounds like it is an act that can be carried out within the terms of the Christian faith, but some see it as unnatural. They feel that Christian singles should do away with Christian dating all together, unless they know that that person was sent to them from God. They feel that once they have found God, that kind of companionship is all they need, and if God so chooses otherwise, He will let them know.
