What Christians Believe About Death

Most members of the Christian faith believe that death is inevitable. Members of the Christian faith believe that death is a part of our destiny, just as it was for Christ. Now, there are not many Christian beliefs that say that our deaths have much significance and importance as that of Jesus Christ’s, but there are several Christian beliefs that say that death is inescapable. The belief to these members of the Christian faith is that when it is your time to go, it is just that time to go. These Christians believe that it is already premeditated when it is time for each of us to go. This is because it has already been written. And when it is not time for a person to go, one of the Christian beliefs is that prayer can revive that person’s spirit. Even if that person is on what is believed to be their death bed, they believe that they will continue to live, as it was so written.

When a person has come to reach that point where death has come, there a number of different Christian beliefs that have come to explain what happens next. It is one of the Christian beliefs that after you have died, you have passed on to the other side. This is the time where some members of the Christian faith believe that you will be judged. It is believed by many members of the Christian faith, that this is the ultimate moment of truth. Your life’s work will be evaluated in order to determine what will be your ultimate destiny- your final destiny. As your life is evaluated, you will have two options. You will either go to heaven, or you will go to hell. These members of the Christian faith believe that if you lived your life according to the Word of God, then you will be able to enter into the gates of heaven. Otherwise, as these members of the Christian faith believe, you will go to hell.

One of the other common Christian beliefs is that there is a time of purgatory after you die. Some members of the Christian faith say that this is the time in which people are able to get the much needed rest that they had been lacking throughout the course, or towards the end of their lives. This is one of the Christian beliefs that does not apply to all people who die, but refer to those who die that are members of the Christian faith. Purgatory is said to be a passageway that appears those who are going to heaven for their final destiny. Members of the Christian faith that believe in purgatory believe that this is the time for internal cleansing and purification.
